Wall-Paint-to-Bedding Matcher

Enter a wall-paint HEX, pick a screen color or choose a category to compare tonal, contrasting and neutral or accent-based sheets.

Three distinct coordination directions with named approximate swatches.

Wall paint reference

Approximate reference, not a paint-brand or fabric measurement.

How this works

What works with dark blue walls? Light Ivory or White can create light/dark contrast; Navy Blue can echo a blue wall for a tonal look. Enter the actual reference you want to consider. Three separate rankings use tonal, high-contrast and balanced goals; each picks the highest-ranked color not already chosen, so the three options stay distinct. The shared editorial engine compares HSL lightness separation with targets 0.12 (tonal), 0.30 (balanced), or 0.55 (high contrast), multiplying that closeness by 4. Hue relationship adds up to 1, muted reference saturation below 0.16 adds 0.7, a curated style match adds 1.25, and a stated preferred color adds 2. Bold duvet patterns add 1.25 to muted references. These are editable editorial weights, not scientific thresholds or accuracy scores. Ties use catalog order. All ten catalog colors are ranked; the top three are shown with reasons and the remaining colors remain alternatives in the selector. No paint-brand database is used or reproduced.

Matching is subjective. Screen swatches and previews are not measured product colors, fabric rendering or proof of fit.

Common questions

What bedding works with dark blue walls?

Ivory or White creates stronger light/dark contrast, while Navy Blue is a tonal starting point. Your reference and style refine the answer.

Do you know my paint-brand shade?

No. Manual HEX, a native picker or a shared category is sufficient; no brand shade database is supplied.

Is a picker color calibrated?

No. It is a screen reference, not a measured paint sample.

Why three different options?

Tonal, contrasting and balanced goals are ranked separately; repeated colors are skipped to offer alternatives.

Can I choose another color?

Yes. The selector keeps all ten catalog colors available; size and quantity remain your decisions.
