Cost-per-Night Calculator
Estimate acquisition and optionally allocated care costs per night under your own usage and service-life assumptions.
Editable cost-per-night result and half/double-use sensitivity scenarios.
How this works
What is the cost per night for a set used two years? Enter expected nights directly, or derive years × 52 weeks × nights using this set per week. The 52-week year is an approximation. Cost per night = acquisition cost ÷ expected nights, or (acquisition + selected allocated lifetime care cost) ÷ expected nights. Nights must be positive. Shared laundry costs need one allocation to this set, not the entire cycle charged to every item. Half/double-night sensitivity holds total selected lifetime cost fixed; edit care costs if the scenario changes them. Service life is an assumption, never a warranty or proven durability.
Results depend on your assumed service life and usage; they describe your plan rather than a warranty or proven material savings.

- Editable roles reuse shared editorial palette relationships and RGB nearest-screen-swatch mapping.
- Pillow layouts compare entered rectangles with bed width and report pairwise overlap, without case-fit inference.
- Original mattress-up bed-making sequence distinguishes owned from needed pieces.
- Pet-fur visibility uses mean absolute HSL lightness differences and an optional room preference, not hygiene.
- Usable complete sets use required-piece minimum integer counts; confirmed top-ups and cost-per-night use entered prices and assumptions.

Common questions
How do I estimate two years of use?
Select years, enter 2 and the actual nights per week using this set. The result shows 2 × 52 × that usage.
Can I enter nights directly?
Yes. Use direct expected nights instead of deriving from years.
Does the tool predict service life?
No. You choose the assumed life; it is not a warranty or product lifespan claim.
How should I include shared laundry?
Allocate only this set’s share of lifetime care costs once and explicitly confirm that allocation.
Are care costs required?
No. Exclude them explicitly; an unknown selected care cost blocks calculation rather than becoming zero.
Do the sensitivity scenarios change care costs?
No. They hold total selected costs fixed. Edit care inputs if different usage changes lifetime laundry cost.
