Laundry-Symbol Decoder
Search text-described wash, bleach, tumble, air-dry, iron and professional-care marks, then read their separate treatment limits.
Separate meanings and maximum-treatment boundaries; select Unknown for any unreadable category.
How this works
The searchable reference maps selected descriptions to reviewed GINETEX/Whirlpool care meanings. GINETEX tub numbers are Celsius maximums; one/two bars constrain wash severity. Dots, crossing out, line orientation and professional letters remain distinct instructions. The library deliberately uses descriptive text, not copied or traced trademarked symbol charts. No claim is made to cover every regional or historical standard; iron numeric ceilings are withheld because standards vary. A plain-language interpretation is not a machine control mapping or proof that the label belongs to an Abeero Home variant.
Current confirmed manufacturer instructions override general care advice. Unknown permission remains unknown. No pathogen-removal or guaranteed fabric-performance claim.

- Care symbols are protected trademarks requiring license for reproduction/use; this tool reproduces no artwork.
- Care instructions indicate maximum treatment; milder treatments may be used.
- Celsius wash numbers and bars distinguish temperature from mild / very mild process.
- Dots distinguish tumble and iron heat levels; no machine temperature mapping inferred.
- Air-drying line/orientation/shade distinctions and professional P/F/W process/bar restrictions.

Common questions
What does the square with a circle and one dot mean on my sheet label?
It indicates reduced / low-temperature tumble drying in the reviewed convention. Use the dryer manual to match low heat; do not guess a numeric appliance temperature.
What do bars beneath a wash tub mean?
One bar means a mild process and two a very mild process. Lower temperature alone does not satisfy a gentler-process restriction.
Why are the controls descriptions rather than copied symbols?
GINETEX protects its symbols and requires a license for reproduction. These controls describe marks in words without reproducing the artwork.
Are all symbol systems identical?
No. Tub numbers here use GINETEX Celsius conventions. Confirm the governing standard and any written limits, especially for older labels and iron temperatures.
Can a professional-care letter be used as a home solvent recipe?
No. P, F and W describe professional processes and restrictions. Ask a qualified cleaner; the tool provides no home chemical recipe.
