Linen-Closet Capacity Planner

Measure your shelf and actual folded sets to compare two stacking orientations, optional weight limits and a practical size-and-name labeling plan.

Normal/rotated stack counts, explicit clearance and optional weight boundary.

How this works

Deduct the entered total clearance allowance once from each shelf axis, clamping usable space at zero. Normal capacity = floor(usable W / folded w) × floor(usable D / folded d) × floor(usable H / folded h). Rotate the folded footprint 90° and compare: floor(W/d) × floor(D/w) × floor(H/h). Choose the larger axis-aligned estimate, not mixed packing. Only when both actual dry set weight and a stated shelf load limit are entered, weight capacity = floor(limit / actual weight); use the lower of geometric and weight capacities. Inches and centimeters work identically when all dimensions use the same chosen unit.

Example folds are editable illustrations, not measured Abeero Home dimensions. Stability and obstructions may reduce capacity.

Abeero Home Bedding Tools · background

    • Rotation estimate is one in-use set plus ceiling(turnaround/change interval) and a user-chosen spare buffer; explicit total override is supported.
    • Compatible size pools subtract usable stock before purchases; budgets multiply shortfalls by entered per-set amounts.
    • Missing and extra components are nonnegative differences from household needs; structured counts require exact-variant component evidence or labeled manual counts.
    • Shelf capacity compares two horizontal axis-aligned orientations with entered total clearance; a load check requires actual weights.
    • Deal totals use entered eligibility, qualifying items and capped discounts; unknown delivery/tax remain partial.

Common questions

How many folded sheet sets fit on my shelf?

Enter measured shelf dimensions, actual folded-set dimensions and total clearance. The result shows both orientations and their multiplication.

Are folded dimensions standard?

No. Fabric, set contents and folding change the footprint. Measure yours rather than treating the example as a product specification.

What does clearance mean?

The same user-entered allowance is deducted once from each total shelf axis. It is not secretly added between every folded set.

Can I check shelf weight?

Only with the supplied shelf load limit and actual dry weight per set. Geometry alone cannot prove load safety.

Should I fill unused shelf space?

Not necessarily. Use the inventory calculator to decide actual needs, and label clean, dry stacks by size and set name.
